Stephen of Byzantium
   Sixth-century author of the Ethnika, a list of geographical names with etymologies and other bits of information attached to the names. The identity of Stephen is unknown, and his information is unoriginal, being drawn primarily from ancient sources such as Ptolemy, Strabo, and Pausanius.
